Breathing leaves in the wind - acrylic painting on loose canvas, A3

This quick little piece happened on a hot, windy day - when I’d already swept the leaves out of the studio, but there they were underfoot again. The chickens were hanging out in the cool under the feijoa bushes, and their rustling seemed to carry up up up to the trees all around, with the wind making busy little stirrings in the leaves.
