This platter has been hand built from a smooth white clay before being hand carved and glazed in a matte forest green glaze and a glossy navy blue. The glaze features some of the beautiful random variances glaze can show when it is applied unevenly or positioned differently in the kiln.
This piece measures just under 40cm long and about 25cm wide. It’s a good size for a cheese or grazing platter, and features a circular smooth area perfect for a feature cheese or small dip bowl.
Although dishwasher safe, to keep these pieces at their very best I recommend hand washing.
Each piece is hand crafted, and I value the variations in shape, glaze and size that come from authentic hand craftsmanship.
All pieces are carefully packed by Josh and Kate in our home studio, within 3 days of your order, using recycled materials where we can.
Ceramics or canvas paintings are boxed, with loose canvas or paper paintings shipped flat or rolled.
