I’ve had this visual in my mind of lying underwater looking at the sun on the surface. I’m watching a lot of little lives going by and just quietly observing - bees land next to me, and grasses move and dip into the water, and birds come to drink. And I think that’s where this one came from, in tiny increments of time when I could be upright and painting. There’s a lot of peace here, even though it seems so dark and busy. Just watching things go by on the surface.
