The smoke smell kept showing up on Friday, lying in pockets. It was strongest at the bottom of the garden, but still with me at night in the studio as I painted - and it worked itself into this piece.
Painting with the roller door open to the dark and the breeze coming in and rustling everything, and the brush tail possums stopping in the light to peer in before moseying on their way to the pond to drink.
