There’s so much going on in the world right now, and so many fires in so many places. Like children with matches, we keep crying when we get burned. But there are idiots with blowtorches prepared to burn down whatever we don’t get to ourselves. This piece is a bit of frustration. It’s all the messy anger and harsh words that overlay a bigger fear. It’s the stands of charcoal trees left after the fires been through, and the ashy footprints that track into the house. It’s the tiny start of new green, always hopefully peaking through. And who am I to say it’s not all MEANT to burn down, again and again?
